politics

President Trump made more than two point two billion dollars in twenty twenty-five, according to financial disclosures released by the US Office of Government Ethics—with over one billion from his crypto businesses. That's raised significant conflict-of-interest concerns, since the federal government oversees crypto regulation. Trump also generated millions from Trump-branded merchandise, including four point seven million dollars from watches alone, and millions more from licensing deals with countries simultaneously negotiating with the United States over tariffs and military aid. The Guardian reports this presents an unprecedented challenge to ethics oversight.
