According to Variety, comedian Carlos Mencia has been charged with tax evasion for failing to report eight point seven million dollars in income. Arrested Thursday and held in custody, Mencia faces felony charges announced by the Los Angeles County District Attorney—the first case filed by the office's new Business Tax Fraud Unit.
