According to the Census Bureau's latest construction report, total construction spending reached two point two trillion dollars in May, up one tenth of a percent from April. That gain comes with a margin of error of plus or minus seven tenths of a percent—meaning the actual movement could cut either way. April's construction activity, revised upward, showed a three tenths of a percent gain, suggesting the sector is holding relatively steady as summer approaches.
