Vancouver Crow Nesting Zone in Burnaby, British Columbia
other
According to Atlas Obscura, thousands of crows converge every day on the same five-block stretch in Vancouver's Lower Mainland. The roost sits along Still Creek Drive between Willingdon Avenue and Gilmour Avenue in Burnaby. At dawn, they depart in a deafening migration; at dusk, they return in equal numbers, sometimes covering the road like a feathered black tarp. To witness this spectacle, visit the McDonald's on Willingdon Avenue — its second floor has wide windows overlooking Still Creek Drive, making it a perfect vantage point. Fair warning though: crows are famously intelligent and remember human faces. If you agitate them, they'll spread the word to their family, so watch respectfully.
