MIT Quantum Initiative launches postdoctoral fellowship program
science
MIT News reports that the MIT Quantum Initiative has unveiled a postdoctoral fellowship program, funded by the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation, to fast‑track interdisciplinary quantum research. The fellowships target outstanding early‑career researchers who combine deep quantum expertise with fields such as chemistry, materials science, biology or Earth sciences. Awardees will join MIT’s extensive quantum ecosystem—working across quantum computing, sensing, materials, simulation and networks—and may pursue hybrid projects that blend artificial intelligence with quantum science. The inaugural cohort begins in the twenty twenty-six academic year, and a new round of applications is slated to open in the fall of twenty twenty-six.
