Voice actor Pierre Coffin has voiced nearly every Minion since their two thousand ten debut in 'Despicable Me.' According to Variety, Coffin recently revealed how he created Minionese—the Minions' signature high-pitched gibberish. His inspiration came from unexpected sources: random menu items, actress Rosamund Pike, and six semitones of musical pitch. Interestingly, Coffin admits he can't actually perform Minionese on cue, despite having invented the language—much to the disappointment of fans who encounter him.
