LINK Spacecraft Set for Mission to Boost NASA’s Swift Observatory

According to NASA, a robotic spacecraft called LINK, built by Katalyst Space, is set to launch tomorrow to perform a first-of-its-kind servicing mission. Its target: NASA's Neil Gehrels Swift Observatory, a gamma-ray telescope that's been tracking some of the universe's most violent cosmic explosions for over two decades. LINK will raise Swift's orbit to extend its operational life. The launch is scheduled for Thursday, July second at five oh-nine a.m. Eastern Time from Kwajalein Atoll in the Marshall Islands.
