ReactOS Gets An Upgrade

Hackaday reports that the long‑running open‑source Windows clone ReactOS has just released a new version. The update adds a graphical installer that does away with separate live and install images, includes video bug fixes, high‑definition audio drivers, and offers a headless server install option. The developers also said they are syncing the codebase with the upstream WINE project, so future WINE improvements should flow into ReactOS. With plenty of legacy hardware still needing a Windows XP‑era environment, the upgrade gives enthusiasts another reason to keep an eye on the OS.
