Andy Burnham says ‘nothing off table’ in case of Rochdale grooming gang leader

Labour leader-in-waiting Andy Burnham says he'll pursue all available legal options to address a loophole that has prevented the deportation of Shabir Ahmed, a seventy-three-year-old Rochdale grooming gang leader. Ahmed is expected to be released from prison later this week. Calling Ahmed vile, Burnham signaled that nothing would be off the table in his case if he becomes prime minister. According to The Guardian, the barrier centers on citizenship protections under immigration law that have so far blocked his removal from the UK.
