Two people were arrested on Wednesday after scaling to the very top of the Empire State Building's spire. According to The Guardian, they climbed above areas where the public is permitted to visit, then unfurled a large black banner displaying a message about peace. The banner read: 'When the power of love beats the love of power, the world knows peace.' The individuals were dressed in black and appeared to be masked. The stunt is believed to have been an elaborate marriage proposal, but it ended with arrest charges for the unauthorized climb.
