Scientists found a cannabis compound that relieves pain without the high
health
According to ScienceDaily, researchers have discovered that cannabis-derived terpenes—the aromatic compounds that give the plant its distinctive smell—may offer a new approach to chronic pain. In studies using mouse models of fibromyalgia and post-surgical pain, several of these terpenes significantly reduced pain symptoms. One compound, geraniol, showed particularly strong effects. The key advantage: these terpenes work without THC's psychoactive effects, potentially offering pain relief without the high.
