Museums could soon deploy an unexpected cleaner: superworms. According to Ars Technica, researchers have found that these larvae can clean skeletal remains efficiently — potentially replacing the beetles traditionally used in conservation work. The key is proportions: ten to fifteen grams of larvae per gram of specimen minimizes cleaning time without damaging delicate bones.
