Halifax brand to be scrapped after 173 years

According to the BBC, Lloyds Banking Group has announced it will retire the Halifax brand after one hundred seventy-three years. Lloyds says it remains committed to the town of Halifax and very little will change for customers despite the brand's discontinuation.
