According to The Guardian, a Maltese businessman has been accused of plotting to kill investigative journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia. Yorgen Fenech, a forty-four-year-old heir to a property empire that owns the Hilton Malta hotel and casino, is on trial for the two thousand seventeen murder. A jury heard that he allegedly paid one hundred fifty thousand euros to three hitmen to carry out the killing.
