According to Nieman Lab, the information landscape has developed a strange new problem: artificial intelligence is generating fake news that complains about artificial intelligence generating fake news. Joshua Benton reports that these AI-fabricated stories about the threat of AI misinformation are spreading on social media, creating a recursive loop where false warnings about false information amplify the very concern they're describing.
