'Snuck a look': Texts between police sergeant and DV-accused mate exposed

According to ABC News Australia, a New South Wales Police sergeant has admitted to unlawfully accessing the department's internal database to look up details about a domestic violence complaint against a friend. Text messages between the officer and the accused person were later exposed, raising questions about the integrity of the investigation and whether the police system was compromised by the unauthorized access. NSW Police has not yet announced disciplinary measures.
