Authorities arrest 10 people accused of facilitating sex trafficking in Los Angeles

California authorities have arrested ten people accused of running a sex trafficking operation targeting underage girls and women in Los Angeles. According to prosecutors, members of the South Los Angeles–based Hoovers gang recruited about fifty-one victims—some runaways or foster children—using false promises of a better life, or with violence, between twenty twenty-one and June twenty twenty-six. The arrests represent the latest effort to combat trafficking in the Figueroa Corridor area.
