Kyiv attacks death toll rises to 17 as Russia warns it will ‘continue to increase pressure’ on the Ukrainian capital – Europe live

According to The Guardian, at least seventeen people have died in a Russian drone and missile attack on Kyiv that struck overnight. Ukraine's emergency services reported that over twenty sites were targeted, predominantly ordinary residential buildings. President Zelenskyy confirmed most were civilian homes. In response to international calls for pressure on Russia over civilian casualties, the Kremlin's spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said Russia would continue to increase pressure on what he called the Kyiv regime to achieve its objectives.
