According to meteorologists quoted by The Guardian, forecasters are warning of potentially record-breaking heat across the United States this summer, with more than one hundred million people facing increased risks during the week leading up to July fourth. New data released Tuesday showed the first six months of twenty twenty-six were the hottest ever measured for parts of eight western states. The intense El Niño pattern is expected to fuel drought and wildfire risks through the season.
