Spain and France are bracing for another severe heatwave, with temperatures potentially reaching forty-four degrees Celsius in parts of southeast Spain by Tuesday. According to The Guardian, June's extreme heat is blamed for more than two thousand excess deaths across the two countries. The severity is already evident: fights have broken out in Paris supermarkets over air-conditioning units.
