Novice climber rescued after surviving 1,500ft fall down California mountain

A thirty-one-year-old novice climber survived a remarkable fifteen hundred-foot fall down California's Mount Shasta on Sunday, according to the Guardian. She was attempting the Avalanche Gulch route at roughly thirteen thousand feet elevation alongside two other climbers when she fell.
