Nigel Farage reported to standards watchdog over ‘crypto lobbying’

Parliament's standards watchdog is being asked to investigate whether Nigel Farage illegally lobbied the Bank of England on a cryptocurrency issue, according to The Guardian. The concern: Farage met privately with the Bank of England governor and may have pushed them to abandon a crypto plan—one that would have been costly for his party's major donor, billionaire Christopher Harborne. Harborne has contributed fifteen million pounds to Farage's Reform UK and, as revealed in April, gave Farage a personal gift of five million pounds. Farage denies any quid pro quo.
