According to The Guardian, new research tracking over ninety thousand people for a decade found that sitting continuously for more than thirty minutes each day raises the risk of cancer death. The longer you stay inactive in one stretch, the higher the risk. But even light activity—ironing, for instance—appears to help, suggesting frequent movement throughout the day may protect your health.
