Travel app Hopper to pay $35M in FTC settlement over ‘unfairly’ charging hidden fees

According to TechCrunch, travel app Hopper will pay thirty-five million dollars to settle Federal Trade Commission charges that it used deceptive design tricks to hide fees and mislead travelers. The FTC alleged the company obscured true pricing through so-called dark patterns.
