US Olympian indicted after Trump alleged ‘vandalism’ at DC reflecting pool

Three-time US Olympian canoeist David Hearn has been indicted in Washington DC for allegedly damaging a reflecting pool's liner. The pool had just undergone a fourteen point seven million dollar renovation when Trump administration officials blamed vandals for the damage. According to The Guardian, Hearn's lawyers deny the allegations, arguing the government is criminalizing ordinary conduct. Hearn was arrested in June.
