Former AFL player Nicky Winmar found guilty of assaulting woman in northern Victoria

According to The Guardian, former St Kilda AFL player Nicky Winmar, aged sixty, has been found guilty of assault. A Bendigo magistrate determined that Winmar dragged a woman by the hair and struck her head against a door. The judge found the woman's testimony truthful and rejected Winmar's claims that she fabricated the allegations. He was convicted on three charges.
