Millions expected to attend as Iran begins dayslong Khamenei funeral

Iran has begun a week-long state funeral for Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. According to France 24, his body lay in state Friday in a vast hall in Tehran, where clerics, officials, foreign dignitaries, and mourners paid their respects. Millions of Iranians are expected to attend processions throughout the week. Khamenei led Iran for three decades before his death following strikes attributed to U.S. and Israeli forces.
