Germany's anti-immigration AfD elects new leaders amid mass protests

According to RFI, tens of thousands of demonstrators gathered in Erfurt, a city in eastern Germany, on Saturday to block the far-right AfD's annual party congress. The protesters blocked major roads and disrupted public transit throughout the city. Despite the massive show of opposition, the AfD proceeded with its congress and held elections for its new party leadership.
