Washington's July 4 parade is off. The fireworks are still on

Washington DC's Independence Day parade has been cancelled, according to NPR News. Organizers made the call due to an extreme heat warning, with temperatures expected to reach up to one hundred fifteen degrees. The evening fireworks display, however, remains on schedule.
