‘International law is our compass’ in global conflict, UN rights chief tells RFI

Volker Türk, the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, told RFI that international law must guide global responses to conflict. Speaking to the broadcaster, Türk highlighted mounting civilian suffering across multiple crises: repression in Iran, drone warfare and sexual violence in Sudan. He underscored that the world's most vulnerable populations continue to bear the heaviest toll from ongoing armed conflicts.
