Student balloons capture Earth images from 35 kilometres above Cobar

Newcastle students just took their science project to the stratosphere. According to ABC News Australia, the group launched two high-altitude balloons from Cobar in outback New South Wales, reaching thirty-five kilometres above Earth—well into the upper atmosphere. The balloons captured stunning images of our planet from the edge of space, marking an impressive feat of amateur atmospheric research.
