At least eight shot, including four children, in New York’s Coney Island

A shooting in Brooklyn's Coney Island neighborhood on Independence Day evening left eight people injured, including four children. According to the New York Police Department, officers responded to reports of gunfire on West Thirty-first Street at approximately ten thirty-seven p.m. One victim remains in critical condition. The Guardian reports that investigators have not yet disclosed details about a suspect or motive.
