Eight rescued from seaplane that made 'hard landing' in New York's East River

Eight people were rescued from a seaplane that made a hard landing in New York's East River. Fire department units responded and removed all passengers and crew from the Kodiak 100 aircraft safely. Two people sustained minor injuries. According to BBC World, all eight were pulled from the water without serious incident.
