According to The Guardian, Britain's new Defence Secretary Dan Jarvis is pushing Prime Minister-in-waiting Andy Burnham to dramatically increase military spending. Jarvis is calling for the U.K. to reach NATO's three point five percent spending target by twenty thirty, which would require an additional twenty-five billion pounds annually — money that would likely come from cuts to other government services.
