China tests long-range missile in Pacific in move Australia condemns as ‘destabilising to region’

According to The Guardian, China conducted a long-range missile test in the Pacific. The test, which included a dummy warhead, landed in designated waters in what China's state news agency described as a routine military exercise. Australia has condemned the test as destabilizing to the region. China said it had provided prior notification to relevant countries as part of its annual military training schedule.
