According to the Guardian, the UK's electric vehicle charger rollout is hitting a speed bump. In the first half of twenty twenty-six, installers added five thousand one hundred public charge points, bringing the total to just over one hundred twenty-one thousand. That's a ten percent increase year-over-year—but far below the forty percent-plus growth rates the sector saw in twenty twenty-four. Installation costs and uncertainty around government sales targets are squeezing the expansion.
