According to The Guardian World, a wave of Russian missiles and drones struck Kyiv overnight, killing fourteen people and injuring one hundred seventeen, with apartment blocks and other buildings heavily damaged. Ukrainian officials warned the toll was not final, as rescue operations were still under way. The strikes came on the eve of a NATO summit in Ankara, Turkey, where Ukraine's president Zelenskyy has called for what he termed strong decisions from allies.
