According to The Guardian, BT's first female chief executive, Allison Kirkby, has overseen a striking turnaround at the British telecoms giant. Since taking the top job just over two years ago, the company's share price has climbed eighty percent, a rebound that pleased investors and earned Kirkby a pay and bonus package of five point six million pounds last year, the largest for a BT boss in well over a decade. Still, the Guardian notes that questions linger over how much of the revival Kirkby can personally claim credit for, and pressure remains for her to deliver further growth.
