Tennessee national guard troops shoot man dead in Memphis

According to The Guardian, national guard troops shot and killed a man in Memphis early Sunday. Authorities in the Tennessee city say Tyrin Johnson, twenty years old, turned and pulled a gun on soldiers during a chase after they responded to a report of gunfire around four a.m. The guard troops had been deployed to Memphis at the instigation of President Trump, a move The Guardian describes as controversial.
