According to The Guardian World, a wave of Russian missile and drone strikes has hit Kyiv, killing nineteen people and heavily damaging apartment blocks and other buildings. City officials say thirteen people were killed in the capital, Russia's main target, and fifty-six were injured. Six more people were killed in the wider Kyiv region, where another twenty-one were hurt. It was the second major assault on the capital and its surroundings within days, and it comes on the eve of a NATO summit in Turkey.
