According to The Guardian, a federal judge has rejected Donald Trump's latest attempt to delay paying a five point eight million dollar judgment to the writer E Jean Carroll. In a single-sentence order issued on July fourth, US district Judge Lewis Kaplan denied the president's request for more time to pay the civil damages. Carroll was awarded the money after a New York jury concluded that Trump had sexually abused her in nineteen ninety-six, and then defamed her after she publicly described the attack in twenty nineteen.
