Algeria's ruling National Liberation Front, or FLN, has secured the most seats in parliament following elections held on July second, winning ninety of four hundred seven seats, according to France 24. But the victory comes with significant caveats: the election saw record-low voter turnout, largely because the government barred more than a third of prospective candidates from running, raising questions about the openness of the electoral process.
