Typhoon Maysak kills two and forces thousands to evacuate in China

world

A tropical storm has turned deadly in southern China. According to The Guardian World, Typhoon Maysak killed two people in Nanning, in Guangxi province, and forced tens of thousands to evacuate amid extreme flooding, with the storm also causing dam breaches. Maysak had already battered Vietnam and China's southern island province of Hainan over the weekend. Meteorologists say that as the weakening system pushes inland, it will unload the moisture it drew up crossing the South China Sea, with heavy rainfall expected in the days ahead.
