Taylor Swift Prevails in Poet’s Plagiarism Lawsuit, as Florida Judge Dismisses Case With Prejudice

According to Variety, a federal judge has dismissed a plagiarism lawsuit against Taylor Swift. The case was filed fourteen months ago by a Florida poet who claimed the superstar copied phrases from her poems in more than a dozen songs. Judge Aileen Cannon dismissed the case with prejudice, meaning it cannot be refiled.
