Production Assistants on ‘Chicago Fire’ and ‘Chicago Med’ Ratify Union Contract

According to Variety, production assistants on "Chicago Fire" and "Chicago Med" have voted to ratify their first union contract. The deal covers sixty-one workers—twenty-six at "Chicago Med" and thirty-five at "Chicago Fire"—both produced by Universal Television. The assistants will be represented by LIUNA Local seven two four, as part of a broader unionization campaign targeting production assistants across television.
