Sri Lanka prison riot kills 26, with more than 100 others wounded

According to The Guardian World, Sri Lanka has seen its deadliest prison riot in years. Officials say overnight fighting between prisoners from two rival drug gangs killed twenty-six people, including seven guards, and wounded more than one hundred others. Victims with cuts and gunshot injuries were rushed to Negombo hospital, north of the capital, Colombo. Police reported the toll on Monday.
