Syria's 'security challenges' main obstacle to attracting investors

According to France 24, explosions rocked Damascus on July 7th as French President Emmanuel Macron arrived for a surprise, landmark visit with his Syrian counterpart. Macron was already at the presidential palace and away from the site when the blasts occurred. The two leaders had been about to begin a series of meetings, including the signing of contracts tied to Syria's reconstruction. France 24's Dana Alboz reports from Damascus that Syrian authorities see security challenges as the main obstacle to attracting the investors they're counting on to rebuild.
