Thames Water creditors ‘will bid for company even if it is nationalised’

According to The Guardian, Thames Water's creditors aren't backing down. A group of one hundred institutional investors, which hold some fourteen billion pounds of the company's senior debt, are pushing a ten billion pound rescue proposal with regulators. The twist: they say they'll continue bidding for Thames Water even if the next UK government temporarily nationalizes it—a scenario that looks increasingly likely under Andy Burnham. Ofwat, the water regulator, has been in recent discussions with this creditor group about their proposal.
