What has French far-right leader Marine Le Pen been found guilty of and sentenced to?

According to France 24, French far-right leader Marine Le Pen has lost her appeal in a case over the embezzlement of European Union funds. The appeals court in Paris sentenced her to fifteen months of ineligibility for office and a year wearing an electronic tag. In theory that leaves the door open to a presidential run, but Le Pen has said she will not campaign while wearing an ankle monitor. France 24 correspondent Catherine Norris-Trent reported from the courthouse as the ruling came down.
