SoCal businesses lose fight over gas-powered appliances

According to CalMatters, Southern California air regulators can move ahead with new limits on selling certain gas-powered appliances, including water heaters. In a two-to-one ruling last week, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals upheld restrictions on commercial and industrial gas appliances across four Los Angeles-area counties, rejecting pushback from businesses and developers who had fought the rules.
